Coconut Pulp market plan..

One of my friend introduce me to a new "cuisine?" Yes! Cuisine? with question mark. Why? care to stop by and lets uncover why...

First of all the main ingredient is "sapal ng niyog" this is a residue from coconut.. If Im not mistaken they call it coconut pulp in English..

Before I resume.. This is not my recipe and Ill be discussing the market plan for this type of residue to a very delicious product?

Now going to the topic.. We all know that the Tree of coconut is also know as Tree of Life. we know that every part of these trees are very useful from the root to the nut.. Until the very pulp..

From a farm some coconuts would be order let say 100 pcs assuming.. Then coconut husk would be use as fire wood or can be use in garden for the ornamental plats's medium or you can make "bunot" out of it.. "Bunot" is a cleaning material to make the floor shinier.. Then coconut juice would be a great source of water that would cleanse your internal organ some people talk about it.. Coconut meat is a delicious part of the coconut.. But you can turn it to "kinayod" or grated cooconut that when you put some water and squeeze it would produce the coconut milk..

You can see Coconut had lots of potential from the external to internal.. When you have extracted it.. Pulp is produce.. excuse me guys, but we or I'll be concentrating with the pulp...

After having the pulp prepare the necessary ingredients... salt, pepper, sugar, pulp, butter/oil, egg, flour and vegetables that you want. that would be the ingredient for the "Saplam"..

After cooking and some tasting test would be appropriate step if product is successful its better to test the edibility and salability of the product.. after testing these properties or concerns.. You may know think how to distribute this end product.. You may try to feed it to you friends and ask them for suggestions or do the free taste testing..

If plan approved.. try it to sell on low price first. Then If product hits the market. take the risk or be positive if you would have the chance to improve you product and you would succeed on preparing the plan. Distribution would be on small chain of market..

Can you guess now why with question mark? If not.. Its because of coconut pulp or sapal ng niyog is just a residue and most of people think its just food for ducks.. And if ever you'll be eating it. ;)

Recommendation:

Use fresh Pulp.

Think of the best alternative how to use every part of coconut..

Use materials wisely.

When testing start in small amount.

Connections are highly recommended. To know where and who would you sell/sold your end product..

Market or Observe.

Recommendations and Market Plan for coconut is just base on theory..

"SapLam" means Sapal Ulam

Fermented Fruit Juice is an organic fertilizer.. That nutrients component is depends or base on the fruit ingredient like. Papaya rich in Potassium that eventual would make plants and crop bloom productively.. Madre cacao though its not a fruit but its leaves are source of Nitrogen that generally for the green color of leaves and it eventual would be give color to the leaves of the crop and plants. Do you know that the green color is responsible for the trapping the sunlight that the plant would need to convert the nutrients to food and for the development.

The process light trapping and used by the plant to make food is photosynthesis.. Photosynthesis can be done with the help of the sun but at night time if Im not mistaken its dark synthesis or they call it.. Wait I forgot what they call it. My apology cant think orderly..

Going back to the organic fertilizer.. Fermented Fruit Juice and Fermented Plant Juice.. Fruits and sugar is the key according to some expertise. 500:1000 g of fruit:sugar then mash and mix then set aside until it decompose or produce some extracts..  Then use strainer to separate pulp from extract or use clean cloth and squeeze for extracts... Then there you go your very own organic fertilizer FFJ or FPJ..

See more for reference.. via Google..

Note: dont put FFJ or FPJ directly to the plant. Dilute it they use spray..

:(

Blogging is not my Thing...

I know, I have done lots of blogs.. But after several days, weeks and hours. I therefore conclude Im not good in English, grammar is bad and blogging is not my thing but I need to blog at least 3 more before I quit.

Please bare with me.

Salted Eggs

Salted egg

Things needed..

egg chicken/duck
salt
jar with cover
water
spoon

First make brine solution. 2tbsp:2 1/2 cups of water. You may use hot water to dissolve salt faster or stir it until every salt rock is dissolve. Taste the brie solution if its fine with you add water if too salty and at salt if desire..

After cooling if hot water is used. Put the solution to the jar or egg first before the solution. Cover the jar and set aside to a safe place. Make sure that the jar is on a place free from detergent, insecticide and other toxic materials.. Always remember that this is a food processing..

After 15 days.. Separate the eggs from the solution and hard boil it.

Set aside and let it cool..

And here you go and you have your salted egg. In our country we put color on it more on red color.. We call it "pulang itlog".

Salted eggs is a processed food that had longer life span than ordinary eggs. And it would enhance the flavor of the egg. Obviously its salty because of the brine solution that you made and brine solution is depends on your taste and preference.

This would be great time to make one to test and taste your taste buds on a test that gonna judge what your preference..

Crazy Idea: On easter sunday Instead of chocolate eggs why dont you made salted eggs.. What the I got a crazy idea..  :P

Soil..

What is soil? Soil is a non biological factor for planting and raising of crops and animals respectively..Soil is the medium for the plant to grow. You guys may say that soil is just soil but you guys doesnt know how helpful and how productive soil can be.. Soil might be like that color that you doesnt like. But if you have the time.. care to stop by and check other reference to prove that soil is gift..

There are three major types of soil namely loamy, sandy and clay.. These type of soil have their own specific part to the composition of earth surface..

Advantages:

Loamy soil the fertile soil that can produce sufficient nutrients that crops needed to grow and produce.. Sandy this type of soil is good for aeration for good circulation beneath the soil. Clay is the sticky type of soil that has the capacity to hold water.

Disadvantage

Sandy soil is good for aeration but it cant hold water that plants would need to grow.. Clay Soil it have the capacity to hold water but it cant drain water much your plant may decay or nematodes may thrive.

Loam is good type of soil but with the help of clay it would enhance the nutrient composition.. With the help of sandy soil it can add the aeration ability of the soil. Then your loam soil would enhance its ability and capacity to the max..

Hey! I'm still here..

Its all about Agriculture again.. Non-Stop Agriculture.. Like Agriculture, Agriculture, Agriculture, Agriculture, Agriculture...

At the very moment I am a second year college in the field of agriculture.. And if ever I'll be choosing from three major branches of the program namely crop science, animal science and crop protection. Obviously, if would have the chance or if i pass the qualification examination I would like to take the branch animal science but at the same time I would like to take the branch or crop science. I like to pet animal but I dont like them to be sold to the market.. But its part of the business. to the other hand I love to plant but the botanical names and variety for each crop would kill me.. Imagine memorizing a crop and memorizing.. let say 12 varieties and memorizing them with different botanical system? it would blast my mind to the next level. I may not catch my sleep by that time..

While animal science it would be difficult for me to compute lots of feed formulations.. You guys already know that I hat computations very much.. dont you.. Like what I have said earlier. Animal science is the art and knowledge of raising and reproducing animals for income and food source of humanity. These animals that been manipulated by human are called the domestic animals.. Its depends on the farm or the scientific farmer what he or she would like to do to his own area..

am.. you are asking me why not Crop protection? Oh.. dear.. bacterium, pathogens, viruses and disease is not field.. If crop science gonna blow my mind... Crop protection would be the start of my senescence.. I know its difficult to studies those word from this branch its more or less full of scientific name.. Personal I find it some what funny studying this course or subject its like that your enchanting on someone when you are saying or memorizing those name.. Like Xanthomonas.. If I spelled it right? Erwinia... Sorry if i offend you but its so hilarious!! XD every time that Im studying.. I fell asleep always when Im holding or even reading the handouts of this course.. It like Im reading a bed time story to some one.. But some how its kinda interesting "If" you truly understand what you are reading..

AnSc or CrSc?

Subjects/Courses in the Field of Agriculture

Im still here.. :)

Subjects or Course that I have taken from the Program Agriculture..

CropScience-CrSc

This Course's aim is to teach or enhance our skills in the field.. It introduced some basic information about "crop science" how the biological and non-biological factors affects the crop from germination to senescence.. It would enhance the skills of the students on theoretical but more on "scientific".

AnimalScince-AnSc

This Course's aim is to teach or enhance the skills of the students in the field. Basically, from the root word animal you would know that the course is all about animals. From External to Internal structure..

SoilScience-SOILS

This Course objective is to enhance the skills of the students to learn and to appreciate soil more than ever, how would this particles would affect both animals and crops. And what nutrients would soil be needing to promote the crops and animals.

AgriculturalScience-AgSc

This Course would introduce the basic and other information about Agriculture.. From basic to very detailed terms or knowledge that the student would be needing for the whole Education, even in the field. It would be very helpful..

CropProtection-CrPt

This Course objective is to establish to the mind of every student how to protect the crops from insect, pest, bacteria, fungus and viruses..

This Course comes on different levels depends on the year level..

CrSc1-99
AnSc1-99
AgSc1-99
CrPt1-99

I am not so sure if its all counts until "99" But "AgSci99", I have already taken that course its all about Practicum.. I love Practicum.. ;)

You know what? This Course its kinda difficult in Lecture time but I assure you its Fun Fun when laboratory comes.. It would boost your MentalPower and Physical Power.. ;)

Second or Third Activity

Good day to you everyone.. My apology for not Introducing my self at the very beginning of my blog. You can see what is my name, but me as a student of the program in the field of the agriculture. At first sight I thought Agriculture is a very easy program but when I tried to study the program.. I just look like this.. o.O... But I must admit its enjoyable. But some parts of it.. Its a no no no.. Like computations?? Im not good in computations... Im not that genius or good to do the computation all day.. Would you enjoy doin' it? If yes.. You maybe guys love Mathematics.. Do you???

Lets as set aside computations.. Generally, the program of agriculture is a very nice program if you would ask me.. ;) Trust me.. Can you imagine how nice would it be roaming around everyday in an area full of greens? How healthy would it be inhaling fresh air from trees? I may sound gay to what Im talking about.. But its definitely amazing and refreshing.. But to be honest its kinda hard.. Why? Can you imagine tilling the soil for more than a hour for your second or third activity? If Im not mistaken.. Then sowing the seeds and watering, monitoring your plants/crops to grow to its full potential. And you would be amaze when you see pick your very own fresh vegetables.. From you plot that you have tilled for lots of hours..

Thats my experience from my second or third activity from the program agriculture.. I learnt to appreciate crops more than before..

Sorry guys no photos available again..

December's Best...

I have said earlier that I would stop blogging for today..But I have to finish at least 4 blogs today. My apology for the last blog that I have published earlier.. Now, the topic would be reconnecting to the objective of my blog.. First a small or short introduction...

Have you guys ate Rice? Have you ate some today? Am... What your rice taste like? Off course its taste like rice.. Some people would say that.. But basically, rice has sweet flavor but it depends on the variety that you bought. What menu you have made out of rice? If your answer was nothing but you cook it with water and eat it for breakfast, lunch, merienda or even dinner.. Maybe you'll be amaze if you would know that Rice can be a dessert?? Is it a shock?? My Apology if I did shock you.. But in our country rice as dessert is a traditional food... Some of them are "Champorado, Binalatungan, Pinindot or Bilobilo, Puto Bungbong and many more" these words are tagalog or Filipino terms... That our ancestors named to these drooling foods.. Some of them have there own history or origin why they call it that way.. But I would only share about "Puto Bumbong/Bungbong".

This is a "Puto Bumbong/Bungbong" its a seasonal dessert or delicacy which only popular when the month of December is finally on your or our calendars.. We Filipino people bought this food after the Mass also known as "Misa de Gallo". This delicious food.. Mainly compose of ground/grind rice/glutinous rice... Mix with purple yam powder, water, sugar, grated coconut and margarine.. (Recipe: You can search it via Google..)

This yummy food is perfect with the cold nights of Decembers... Im drooling again.. Im kinda hungry havent yet eat my dinner.. :(  Maybe later after blogging this one... Well, Banana leaves would enhance the flavor of this delicacy.. Sorry, cant continue.. Im really hungry...

Well, see yah guys next time... Thats all for now...

Recommendation: If your were interested with this one there are lots of "Puto Bumbong/Bungbong" Recipe available via worldwideweb... Read lots of reference and see what suits you..

Logging off..

Really Sorry..  XP

Viral Words..

Okay, guys... This part of my block is out of the objective again..I'll just be sharing some viral wordings on my country "The Pearl of East" It maybe sound awful but we all know that words maybe viral to every ones ear if:

1.) You can relate on it.
2.) You can see someone who is close to you on it.
3.) You can see your doin' it.
4.) Or maybe you gonna do it..

XD

I'll be sharing the Word "FriendZone, SeenZone, ShareZone and FlappyBirdZone". Its funny that you may have heard about this word before but in our country the most popular word was "SeenZone"...

SeenZone if you have log in the messaging section of your Fb account or other web account that can detect if your receiver have seen your message... Basically, SeenZone is associate if the person that you have sent the message just look or just checked your message and doesn't reply at all.. Andyour eyes turns white.. Then days pass by.. Still no reply at all.. It definitely "SeenZone".

Second, "ShareZone".. Is a kind of atmosphere that associate when you are or a particular person is sharing his or her feelings or experience or even ideas..Mostly ShareZone is said if Nobody actual understand what you are refering to... "Its a funny experience especially when you can stop talking though someone is already talking/speaking.. We all know that speaking when others are talking without being acknowledge by the floor or the preceding speaker.. Its a bad manner..

Third, "FriendZone"... Its a a popular word if a girl decide to be friends with the boy, lady or lad respectively...  It definitely "FriendZone" its kinda awful for the guys.. This is not only applicable for Female&Male relationship.. Sometimes Female&Female or even Male&Male.. You disagree?? Well, I have Two words, Five syllables and its English!! "Its-Re-a-li-ty" Ha ha ha..

Fourth, The latest.. "FlappyBirdZone" after the game "Flappy Bird" Booms!! A friend of mine say that I have just been in a Zone.. I askeed her what time of Zone? She said "FlappyBirdZone". I didnt asked her back for the reason that I have internalized it instantly.. Why? In reality when you guys bump on something you suddenly stop and think about it.. Then you internalize what have you done.. reconnecting to the idea of FlabbyBirdZone we all know that its very addicting game... But I dont have the copy of the game.. Sadly..If you bump you wont stop because you love to play it.. Until you succeeded. In real life if you have, if you pursue something that is not or which is not good for you that we call stupidity.. One you'll be realize something what you aught to do or what you have done before.. I need to think about it or be sure what you are doin' with your life.. Not just in your Romance life but in actual life that may affect you, for who you are..

I hope you guys, didnt get mad for what I have discuss.. About the Viral words... I know you may not like but.. Some part of it is reality..

I guess I have said too much today..

Pastillas de Leche: How and Review?

Pastillas de Leche

This dessert is known for its aroma that produce from Cow's milk with the combination of sugar.. Pastillas is a watery candy/dessert that most of children want to eat.. Except people who doesn't it foods with milk products.. Of course its disgusting for them.. Its kinda expensive for the reason that its so hard to make or produce. It would take several of hours to make a batch of it...

I'll be sharing the basics about "The Making of Pastillas de Leche".

Ingredients:

Cow's Milk or Carabao's Milk (according to a Pastillas maker)
Sugar

First place your Pan (Pan should be deep), Set the fire at low and pour the milk to the pan..

Take note that put your fire on low... Why if too high it would produce another type of product and you would not have pastillas as final product you may have the UHT milk instead...

Going back to the topic, wait until you can see curd forming at the surface of the milk...

Leave it until you see progress... Dont stir..

Can you see the curd forming?? Its papery like in structure.. Still cant see it? look at the center of the photo..

Now, adding sugar... Sugar is base on your preference.. But we put 1 cup per liter...

After adding the sugar to the milk... Stirring takes place... Stir in continuous manner.. Until you have a thick consistency.. Note, stir it including the bottom of the Pan! watch out to prevent your milk and sugar from burning... Its not good to eat.. But for me, its kinda yummy if its kinda burnt.. :P

Thick consistency... Continue stirring until you have thicker mixture. Some say you must stir it roughly when this part comes.. But watch out not to drop your mixture.. Its HOT!!!

After mixing for 2 and half hours continuously.. "What 2 and half hours of Stirring? No wonder its SO EXPENSIVE!!!"

Set aside and cool it down before putting it on you fridge..

You may help it cool down by mixing it again to release the steam within the mixture... Then some what cold? Fridge time. and after few hours or a day.. Prepare your wax paper and wrapping time...

And there you are you have your Pastillas de Leche!!!

Sorry I dont have the photo of the end product..

Photos are all taken by me..

Thats all guy.. Have fun.. Dont for the Don't in the Kitchen!! ;)

And please subscribe.. ThankYpu verymuch.. :*

I'm  back guys.. Just thought that I would like to do the blogging. How are you guys/viewers/subscribers/followers.. I hope you guys are enjoying or having funny reading. Tell me if you find it boring and I'll adjust my blog for you..;]  As promise the next topic was Lactuca sativa harvesting.. Can you guys still remember what I have blogged awhile ago or last time?? :P Yes? Great!! Somehow you can understand what I'll be sharing this time.. If not.. I would like to suggest read my 3rd blog entitled

First what is Lactuca sativa? This commodity is a leafy vegetable, most of consumers prepare this commodity to their tables and known as salad food..

Nutritional Value:

1 – Protein. Believe it or not, romaine lettuce is 17% protein with 7.7 grams per head. It is also a complete protein! That means that it has all 8 essential amino acids, 9% RDA of some and up to 26% RDA of others.
2 – Calcium. One head of romaine has 206mg of calcium (about 21% RDA). Blend it with calcium rich fruits like papaya and oranges and you’ll get more calcium than a glass of milk!
3 – Omega-3s. One head of romaine lettuce contains 44% RDA of Omega-3 essential fats. Forget the tainted fish oils, reach for some leafy greens instead!
4 – More Vitamin C Than An Orange. One head of romaine contains 167% RDA of vitamin C while an average sized orange contains only 92%.
5 – Iron. One head of romaine contains 6mg of iron, which ads a significant source of iron to the diets of vegetarians and vegans.
6 – Romaine Lettuce is Rich in B-vitamins: Thiamine (B1) – 38% RDA, Riboflavin (B2) – 32% RDA, Niacin (B3) – 12% RDA, Pantothenic Acid (B5) – 18%, Pyridoxine (B6) – 36 %, Folate (B9) – 213%!
7 – Water. One head of romaine provides 16% of your daily water needs with about 20 ounces of water per head!
8 – Rich Source of vitamin A (as beta-carotene) and K. As with most leafy greens, romaine is super rich in beta-carotene with 1817% RDA per head and has 535% RDA of vitamin K.
9 – Low Levels of Oxalic Acid. If you have problems with calcium oxalate kidney stones, romaine lettuce might be a good choice for leafy greens since it is very low in this anti-nutrient.
10 – Mineral-Rich. Don’t let the lighter color of romaine lettuce fool you. This not-so-dark leafy green is rich in minerals. One head contains copper (33% RDA), magnesium (22% RDA), manganese (42% RDA), phosphorus (27% RDA), potassium (33%), selenium (5% RDA) and zinc (13% RDA).
(Nutritional Value Reference:  http://www.incrediblesmoothies.com/nutrition/10-surprising-nutrition-facts-about-romaine-lettuce/)

Note: For the owner of this nutritional value. If you wish me to turn down this Nutritional Value content of Lettuce. Just tell me and I'll be deleting this nutritional value to my blog. ThankYou.. Absolutely I don't own this Nutritional Value Content of Lettuce..

Now lets go to the main topic..Harvesting..

First of all before harvesting according to the calendar 30-40 days after transplanting you may harvest your Lettuce.. Or maybe it depends on your preference...

Select the plant you wanted to harvest.. Always remember to choose what you prefer to if you guys is growing your own in your backyard.. Be careful not to grip it very harsh. Just hold it with care and to tightly. Or your commodity would get mash and no consumers would buy your product..

Cut the base part near the root system.. To keep your Lettuce leaves together... You may use sharp knife and a pair of scissor to cut and harvest your lettuce. Please be careful when you are cutting your Lettuce and and make sure not to cut your self.

After harvesting place your Lettuce in a safe place, mind to put some or piece of cloth or papers beneath the Lettuce.. And don't place your Lettuce in the path way. You can't tell if people won't step on it.

Prepare for the container or bag to put your harvest.. You may weigh it first before packaging. Set aside to a safe place.

That's all you have harvested your Fresh Lettuce..

If you wanted put some mayo, vinegar, salt, sugar, pepper, garlic and onion to your salad to enhance the flavor of your salad.. ;] I have tried it before and its fantastic.. :*

(Photos are my Own)

Well, Thats, all for now..
ThankYou again for stopping by..
Hope you guys have learnt something.

What is Post Harvest, Maturity, Indices and Standard..

GoodDay to EveryOne, today I'll be sharing the idea or facts that I have learnt from my Program that I am attending.. It's all about maturity indices. First of all, it is under the field of post harvest. What is "Post Harvest"? and What is "Maturity Indices".

Post Harvest means after harvesting.. Its the Management or the handling practices after you or we harvest. In the Field of Post Harvest we need to be able to know some or the ideas/facts about "Proper handling. How would you guys handle your commodity for marketing. We all know that if a commodity is damaged no consumer would like or attempt to  buy those commodity. We know that consumers would buy only if commodity are in good shape. Would you buy "wounded" commodity? Off course, Not.

The aim of this field is to minimize or lessen the damage of commodity from being stress from harvesting until the commodity reached the consumers..

Now that if have summarizes to you what is "Post Harvest" in the simplest way that I can explain to you., let's talk about what is "Maturity".. When it comes to maturity what comes to your mind? Yes, not immature.. Or we can say maturity refers to the state of or period of being mature..

     Now let's talk about "indices", what do you think what indices means?? You may check your dictionaries if you fins this word too deep for you.. At first I find this word hard for myself. It's funny since it's on my field still not aware the meaning of it. But after my instructor gave me/us some ideas.. We finally know the meaning of indices.. ShareZone.. :}

Let's go back to the main topic. Indices refers to the sign or indication that we can see by using our sense of sight and sometime with the help of sense of judgment.. Sometimes its good for you but most of time its not good for them.. :}} It's reality.. :P

That's why we have "standard". In the field we use standard to maintain or in order to follow what consumers wanted to buy..

Here.. Let me give you an example..

This is a Dragon fruit.. Hylocereus undatus. This fruit is immature at green color but you can see its red base on my sense of sight and its matured.. I don't know what color was that on your sense of sight. :P
(Photo is my own.)

That's all for today guys..
ThankYou for stopping by..
I hope have learnt something..

Next Topic..

Lactuca sativa harvesting.. ;]

Care to follow and subscribe? And standby and learn some information??
I hope you would.. ;] One again ThankYou..
